USS Coral Sea (CV-43)

You can clearly see the '43' on the bow end of the flight deck but the Coral Sea was scrapped in Baltimore between 1990 and 2000. Any ideas here?

I can't tell when that photo is dated, but she remained at the shipyard in Portsmouth for most of 1990 then was towed to Philadelphia. She didn't move to Baltimore until 1993 or 94.
