The dolmen lies on a small patch of land at the end of a field just north of Roskilde. The full length of the barrow is intact and the capstone of the dolmen still remains on top of the carry stones and the whole dolmen is in good condition. The dolmen is thought to have been constructed sometime between 3950 BC - 2801 BC.
The dolmen is one of several Neolithic burials in the area. All sites are protected.
