On Wednesday 3rd August 2022 Borut S5AU/P a radio amateur from Slovenia reached the summit of Vrtača and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 20 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 70 cm UHF amateur radio bands.
