The Wake Forest Primate Center (WFPC) is located on the Friedberg Campus, nine miles from the main campus of the Wake Forest School of Medicine. The campus has been home to the faculty of the Section on Comparative Medicine since the mid-1960s. The Comparative Medicine faculty have helped pioneer the use of nonhuman primates in biomedical research and comprise both a local and national research resource.

The center had a monkey escape in July of 2012 and was finally captured after 11 days on the loose.
