Walker Mountain Lookout

Chemult, Oregon (OR), US
Walker Mountain was used as a patrol lookout as early as 1907, and by 1915 a stone cabin was built for living quarters. In 1919 a pole tower approximately 25 feet tall with a small 6x6 windowless cab was erected. In 1932 a road was constructed to the summit and a 35 foot steel tower with a cabin and catwalks was built. The stone cabin was restored in 2005, but as of 2024, the tower cabin is in rough shape.
