Walter Mischer Jr.'s House

Mischer Investments, L.P., has been involved in real estate development since 1975. He is also President of Mischer Healthcare Services, a developer of healthcare facilities, whose most recent project is Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza, a partner and Co-Founder of Belmont Village Assisted Living Communities, and Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of RediClinic, LLC., which operates ‘convenient care’ clinics located in H-E-B stores.

Currently, Mr. Mischer serves on the Board of Directors of Houston Trust Company, The Greater Houston Partnership and Chairman of its Gulf Coast Regional Mobility Partners, UTHSC Development Board, Houston Zoo and the Memorial Hermann Foundation. He previously served as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Hermann Hospital from 1991-1993, Director of The Southland Corporation from 1982–1987, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank from 1983-1988, the Vice Chairman and Director of the Texas Turnpike Authority from 1978–1988, and Director of Encore Bancshares.

He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1973 with a Bachelors of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.


He owns a home in Aspen.
