On Wednesday, 4th September 2024, Harald OE8DSQ/P, a radio amateur, from Austria, reached the summit of Stubeck in the Province of Kärnten in the south of Austria. He became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 7 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.
The summit of Stubeck is 2623 metres (8606 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
