Western State Hospital Ruins

Western State Hospital Ruins

Lakewood, Washington (WA), US
This is a ruin of an old concrete building circa 1920 on the grounds of the old Western State Hospital dairy farm.. Most of it seems to have been knocked down, though for some reason the job has been left half done and abandoned for many years. Originally known as the Western State Lunatic Asylum, the hospital ran a dairy farm for many years until patient care reforms closed it in the late 1960s.
