After almost a year of painstaking and delicate work the restoration of central London’s only outdoor Shakespeare Statue has been completed. The work, undertaken by Westminster City Council and PAYE, restored the 19th century Grade II listed statue of Shakespeare as part of a £17m revamp of the square. A new fountain will also keep the renowned playwright company, and provide a spectacular centrepiece to London’s premier entertainment district.
