Wood Farm is a modest country house on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, owned by the British royal family. Built in the early 20th century, it is far simpler and more private than Sandringham House itself. The property is best known as the longtime residence of Prince John (the youngest son of King George V), who lived there under quiet care due to his epilepsy. After Prince John’s death in 1919, the house remained part of the estate and was used intermittently by members of the royal family.
In more recent history, Wood Farm became closely associated with Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who chose it as his main residence after retiring from public duties in 2017. He lived there until his death in 2021.
