On Saturday 9th July 2022 Yasu JA5QJX/0 a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Yokoteyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 40 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 20, 17 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
