Yonge Street (longest street in the world)

Yonge Street (longest street in the world)

Toronto, Canada (CA)
Yonge Street has been listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest street in the world, although this claim depends on whether one considers Yonge Street to be synonymous with Ontario provincial highway 11.

In the thumbnail you can see the beggining (or the end, I don´t know that much) of the street. Follow the street to the north and watch where it finally ends.

of course it's the longest street in the world - have you ever tried to find the end of it? I dare anyone to start at Lake Ontario and start driving...make sure you pack a lunch.

The record is a lie. Once you reach Bradford, Hwy 11 changes names, turns off, and is never known as "Yonge" again all the way to Rainy River. The true longest street is NY's Broadway, which runs to Albany.

not that hard to find the end..
it is know as yonge st about 5 minutes later when you hit the innisfil/barrie area..
however I agree that it isn't as long as they say. it's only about 90km from start to finish.
