On Sunday 21st May 2023, Ito JA7ENA, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Yuuhidake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 7 contacts in total working on the 40m amateur radio band.
The summit of Yuuhidake is 1526 metres (5007 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Yuuhidake is in the Tochigi Prefecture on Honshu Island.
