Edwards / Dryden offers tours twice a month, usually on Wednesdays. When we were there a major inspection was in progress so they had canceled one of the two sessions that month. You have to call ahead and make an appointment. Leave a message; they'll call you back. Other than that, the entrance is close to the highway and far from the base so there isn't really anything to see driving by the entrance.
