Just a piece of random trivia. When flying into St Paul Downtown Airport (Holman Field) from the east, 3M is the final checkpoint where they will give you clearance to land. Out of town pilots are easy to spot because they fail to check in "abeam 3M" and wind up somewhere near Mahtomedi before they realize what happens.
