I was stationed at AFSOUTH from 1962 to 1965. I worked at Tunnel 4 in the communications center. I got married there and we departed in 1965, My first born daughter was born at the hospital on Via Manzoni. We had an apartment at Via Nuova Agnano #53 near AFSOUTH and I recall astronaut John Glenn passing by as I watched the parade from my fourth story balcony.
