Al Garhoud Bridge

Al Garhoud Bridge

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (AE)
Al Garhoud Bridge is one of four road bridges over Dubai Creek, and one of five crossing, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was the second bridge to cross the Creek, after Al Maktoum Bridge. It opened in 1976.

Nearly 9,000 vehicles cross the Al Garhoud Bridge every hour at peak flow. It has been the cause of huge traffic snarls in Dubai. The reason for this is the number of roads that feed into the bridge. On the Bur Dubai-bound lanes, seven lanes (from three different roads) converge into three lanes.
