Aspendos was originally a Greek city located in modern day Turkey. The city was founded by Ancient Greeks from Argos and appeared in the Hittites in 800 BC. During the reign of the Romans, the city grew to even more prosperous and a Roman theatre that could seat up to 150.000 people was built. Other structures as temples, a circus and an aqueduct also remain at the site.
