Centennial Square Fountain

Centennial Square Fountain

Victoria, Canada (CA)
In 1963, the 100th birthday of Victoria was marked by the creation of Centennial Square. The fountain in the centre of the square was a centennial gift to the City of Victoria from neighbouring municipalities.

The balustraded rim is reminiscent of pieces from Oscar Niemeyer's Brasilia scheme (1958).
