Chamizal National Memorial was established to commemorate The Chamizal Convention of 1963, a diplomatic between Mexico and the United States. which resulted in the peaceful settlement of a long boundary dispute.
Note: Move north on the map and you will see the original markers (small posts)along the path that market the old border between the US and Mexico.
