Barker Ranch is infamous as the last hideout of Charles Manson and his "family" during and after the gruesome LA murder spree. It is located inside Death Valley National Park in eastern California.

Recently (Early 2008), forensic investigators have searched the ranch with "cutting-edge forensic technology" and turned up possible graves of undiscovered Manson murder victims.

@ Anonymous,

the ranch was not built by the family... it was a previously abandoned filming lot that Manson aquired through his family contacts.

george spahn was the owner of the ranch on santa susana pass rd. about 1/4 mile west of rocky peak church.... in its hayday, there were private horses boarded there, and horses people could rent for the also, built around 10 buildings in the old west style to look like a western town, around the early 1950s....when manson showed up,george was in his eightys and half it was easy for the gang to take over the place....the gang lived in the old buildings from around 1967 to 1969....after they did the murders they moved out to the barker ranch, witch was very close to the border of death valley....the ranch was owned by one of the manson girls grandmother.
