According to reports, L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology founder, lived here from about 1984. He died here (after receiving injections of the psychiatric drug “Vistaril”), on January 24, 1986. This ranch was purchased in the name of “Thomas O’Brien” by deed recorded on August 11, 1983, and was transferred to Norman F. Starkey (Executor of the LRH estate) on Feb. 27, 1986. Mobile homes here are assessed as “Wildwind Manor.”
