Shenny Lenhart, daughter of the one of the owners of Corner Kitchen, was eating dinner with friends at Pack's Tavern when she received a text message that the president and his wife were eating at her father's restaurant. She quickly headed to Biltmore Village, where she had a chance to greet Obama, who was eating in an upstairs room.
Upon meeting him, she used her full name, Shenandoah. “I introduced myself and he said I had a beautiful name, and I told him he had a beautiful name,” Lenhart said. “Michelle said the same thing, and I told her ‘I like your shoes.'”
Lenhart said the president ate the mahi-mahi — listed on the menu at the restaurant's website as macadamia nut pesto grilled mahi-mahi with coconut rice, snap peas and pineapple salsa — and some soup. The total bill for the party of six was $284.35
“I'm still shaking. He's my idol,” she said.
