The Great Buddha of Thailand is the tallest statue in Thailand, and the ninth tallest in the world. It stands 92 m (300 ft) high, and is 63 m (210 ft) wide. Construction commenced in 1990, and was completed in 2008. It is painted gold and made of cement.
