Heartland is a summer camp for ice hockey players of all ages. It is located in northern Minnesota on 80 acres along the shore of Portage Lake.
Founded in 1985, the camp has grown to feature an indoor ice arena, an outdoor roller rink, weight room, hockey pro shop, a tennis court, mini-golf, a power shooting range, video arcade, and a movie theater. Campers can also participate in various water activities along the camp's 1800 feet of lakefront.
Former NHL player Steve Jensen owns and operates the camp. His NHL career spanned from 1975-82. He played for his hometown Minnesota North Stars for three seasons and the Los Angeles Kings for four seasons. He was the leading goal scorer on the 1976 US Olympic team.
