The Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant is one of the newest NPP projects in the world as of 2007. It is located in Donggang Town, Wafangdian in the Liaoning Province of China. The site is within the Prefecture-level city of Dalian, 104 km north of Dalian City proper. Construction is underway on the first four of six 1,000 megawatt (MW) CPR-1000 pressurized water reactors (PWRs).
