John William Cummings (October 8, 1948 – September 15, 2004), aka Johnny Ramone was an American guitarist and song writer for the punk rock band the Ramones. Ramone died in 2004 and was cremated with his wife retaining the ashes.

In 2005 a statue of Johnny was unveiled at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Several celebrity friends spoke at the ceremony including Nicolas Cage, Rob Zombie, Eddie Vedder, Tommy Ramone, Vincent Gallo, John Frusciante, Seymour Stein, Pete Yorn, and others.
