Kendrick R. Wilson, III is the Vice-Chairman of BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager and a close friend and advisor to its CEO, Larry Fink. He was previously president of Ranieri & Co. and Senior EVP for E.F. Hutton. He served as the Chairman of financial institutions group at The Goldman Sachs Group until July 2008. He was also Vice Chairman of Lazard Freres. He has been praised by Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, for whom he formally advised, and President George W. Bush for his calm handling of the 2008 financial crisis. He has been described as the most connected man on Wall Street. He holds an MBA from Harvard.
