Lop Nur or Lop Nor is a former salt lake, now largely dried-up, located between the Taklamakan and Kumtag deserts in the Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, southeastern portion of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China.
