This 25,000 seat amphitheater opened in 1987. The outdoor concert venue is located along the shore of Lake Michigan at the far south end of the Henry Maier Festival Park. It hosts major concert tours throughout the summer months and serves as the main stage during the 11-day Summerfest music festival.

The smiley-face seen on its roof is the Summerfest logo.
