The Methodist Central Hall, located in Westminster, was erected between 1905 and 1911 to mark the centenary of John Wesley's death. The hall housed the first meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in 1946. It is used for political rallies with many famous people having spoken there - such as Mohandas Gandhi, Winston Churchill and Martin Luther King Jr. The World Cup was also on display in the hall in 1966 from where it was stolen.
