“Mustache” Bill Smith has been cooking diner food for thirty five years and seems to get more famous every day. On Monday, his restaurant, Mustache Bill’s Diner, was honored as one of ”America’s Classics” by the James Beard Foundation at an awards ceremony in New York City. Bill started working at the diner when he was 14 and ended up buying the diner from the owners years later. He believes in making everything from scratch and his customers love his food. Some of the specialties of the house include a Cyclops Pancake with an egg cooked in the middle of a pancake and a classic homemade chipped beef.
