Mysterious dog suicide bridge

Mysterious dog suicide bridge

Dumbarton, United Kingdom (GB)
Over the last five decades, at least 50 dogs have jumped to their death from the same spot of Scotland's Overtoun Bridge. Some of those who have survived the 50 feet drop returned to jump off again. Virtually all of the jumps occurred on sunny days and involved dog breeds with long snouts.

Experts have studied the mystery without coming to a definitive conclusion. One popular theory is that the dogs are attracted to mink urine found below the bridge. The mink population began to thrive in the area when the first dogs made the leap.
