Original Kansas City Downtown Airport TWA Terminal

Original Kansas City Downtown Airport TWA Terminal

Kansas City, Missouri (MO), US
I believe that today it's either a Beechcraft dealership or an FBO, but this was once the original TWA terminal/hangar/headquarters in the 1930s. It's kept more of its external appearance and from when I last was there about 7 years ago it looked to be in excellent shape and its owners tried to keep it as close to the original as possible.

There's an apocryphal story that the height of these hangars dictated the use of triple tails on the Lockheed Constellation that TWA was the launch customer for on the eve of the Second World War.
