At Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport the original terminal building is still in use on the west side of the airport as an FBO. The original terminal building was built in 1950 in anticipation of future jet service which finally came to fruition in 1960s when Continental brought its turboprop Viscounts first followed by pure jet service in 1966.
The old terminal was replaced with the new, present terminal in 1976.
