Originally constructed in 1870 at 7 Hawthorne Street in Dayton Ohio, this two-story frame house was the family home for Milton and Susan Wright and their family. Their sons, Wilbur and Orville Wright developed the world’s first successful airplane while living in this house. Orville was born in this house in 1871 and Wilbur died here from typhoid fever in 1912.
