Early Frank Lloyd Wright Design
Today, the Peter Goan house exhibits a relatively lackluster exterior when compared to other homes from the same era. Nevertheless, it is a significant piece of the puzzle that would eventually be recognized as the American four square or the "Prairie box." The four square, as described by Jackie Craven of About.com, emerged in 1895 and continued to be popular until the 1930s.
