Phillip Doyce Hester is the senior VP of R&D at National Instruments. Earlier, he had worked as the CTO and Senior Vice President of semiconductor company Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD). Hester spent 23 years at IBM, where he was the lead developer for the RS/6000. He was also a co-founder, and CEO of Newisys, now a Sanmina-SCI Corporation.
