San Antonio Speedway

San Antonio Speedway

San Antonio, Texas (TX), US
Built in 1977, this half-mile high-banked race track closed it's gates on March 28, 2007. The track slowly deteriorated for the next five years and was close to being demolished and turned into farmland.

In 2012, Unique Track Solutions struck a deal with the track owner and city officials to repair and operate the speedway. The gates reopened with a three-day OctoberFast event, which drew over 120 race teams and about 5000 fans.
