Squire's Almshouses

Squire's Almshouses

London, United Kingdom (GB)
These almshouses were constructed in 1795 and were, according to an inset stone plaque, "erected and endowed" by Mary Squires for "six decayed tradesmens widows of this parish and no other". To meet with modern living standards the number of dwellings have reduced to four but there are still six front doors!
