Stokkebjerg Skov Langdysse (Long Barrow)

Just north of the town of Jyderup on the Danish island of Zealand are the remains of a Neolithic long barrow. The site is located right at the corner of the road that goes right past it and therefore is clearly visible from the road. The mound is still clearly visible with the stones that surrounded the edge of the mound now gone. The two burial chambers are still visible. One chamber still has the capstone on top of the support stones while the other chamber has no capstone and therefore exposes the burial chamber. The site is a registered historical monument and protected.

The grave is thought to have been constructed between 3950 BC - 2801 BC.
