Ever since Pixar's whimsical Up hit cinemas, people have told Portland lawyer Randal Acker his 1894 Queen Anne Victorian looks just like the cottage from the film.

So when Acker won his battle to keep it from being demolished by the city, he celebrated by re-creating the movie's famously whimsical scene - tying dozens of coloured balloons to its roof as if it would be swept away into the sky.
