Designed in the Art Deco style by Louis Skidmore, the Watseka Theatre opened in 1931. Fall on hard times in the 1960’s and early-1970’s, eventually it closed in the early 90's. Former music teacher Charles Gomez purchased the theatre in the spring of 2007, and using original blueprints, return the theatre’s original appearance. The theatre is now a live performance space.
