U.S. Route 1 bridge over the Mystic River and Little Mystic Canal between Chelsea and the Charlestown section of Boston. It is a major commuter conduit, with inbound traffic traveling on the upper deck and outbound on the lower. In the middle between the two rivers, over the shipping terminal, is a 7-lane inbound-only tollbooth, which as of January 1, 2002 collected $2 per passing vehicle.
