Tornby Runddysse (Dolmen)

Tornby Runddysse (Dolmen)

Hirtshals, Denmark (DK)
The dolmen is located in the northern part of the Jutland peninsula and is the most northern dolmen in the whole of Denmark. The dolmen is in very good condition. The capstone still sits in place on top of the carrier stones. Archaeologists believe a small mound would have covered the site but has since been ploughed away. The site has been protected since 1881. An information sign is at the location.

The dolmen is thought to have constructed between 3950 BC - 2801 BC.
