Valencia Street Circuit swing bridge

Valencia Street Circuit swing bridge

Valencia, Spain (ES)
A rotating swing bridge is part of the Valencia Street Circuit used for the Formula One European Grand Prix race. The two segments of the bridge connect to provide a 460 feet long path over the harbor.

The bridge was built in 2000-01 as a double-leaf bascule bridge. Due to a change in the harbor entrance for the America's Cup yacht race, the bridge was moved, widened, and reconfigured as a rotating swing bridge in 2007-08.
