Dexter Holland is best known as the singer, guitarist, and songwriter of punk rock band The Offspring. Having sold more than 40 million records since their rise in the early 1990's, they are considered to be, along with Green Day, one of the most successful and pioneering bands in their genre.

Holland was the valedictorian of his high school and a Ph.D. candidate in Molecular Biology at the University of Southern California. He is also a licensed Airline Transport Pilot and, as of April 2009, is a Certified Flight Instructor who has made a solo trip around the world in ten days. He owns a Soviet-era fighter jet and also flies a private jet with an anarchy symbol on the tail. Holland also has his own brand of hot sauce, Gringo Bandito.
