Mr. Michel retired after 35 years in corporate management in the metalworking and electronics industries. He most recently served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Stanadyne, Inc., in Windsor, CT. He is a former vice chairman of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, chairman of the board of trustees of the Admiral Farragut Academy and a director of numerous private corporations. A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mr. Michel received the 1980 MIT Corporate Management Leadership Award.
