On Saturday 1st June 2024, Yoko JF3KLH a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Hachibuseyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
Yoko made 10 contacts in total working on the 40m amateur radio band.
The summit of Hachibuseyama is 5082 metres (4931 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Hachibuseyama is in the Fukui Prefecture on Honshu Island.
