On Sunday 31st March 2024 at 13:25 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM, a radio amateur from Croatia, made contact with Ingo DK3RED/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from Krumme Laake Grünau (DLFF-1040), on the 30m amateur radio band. Ingo made a total of 52 contacts while at the reserve.
Krumme Laake Grünau (DLFF-1040), is a protected area of 45.21 hectares lying south-east of Berlin in Germany. It was designated as a Nature Reserve in 2004 and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
